Today is Earth Day. Why is that important? To quote John Lennon: “…Imagine all the people; Living for today…“. No matter what you believe in, you have to understand the impact you are having on your and other people life. This includes your children, their children etc.
To help you better grasp your impact, do the following thing:
Today, step outside, close your eyes and try to think of nothing in particular
Feel the feet touching the ground
Think of yourself as a part of the Earth and not just a temporary visitor
No for the hard one… Think of the impact your life has on the earth
Finally, hug somebody, as many people as possible
HAPPY EARTH DAY!!
Finally, as Adam Werbach said, set yourself a Personal Sustainability Promise (PSP) and follow it. It does not have to be something huge. Here are some ideas:
Start recycling
Start biking to work
Next time you buy groceries, buy organic, local, fair traded
